A one-mile self-guided walk through what's left of Rossie's iron-mining boom — the 1825 grist mill ruins, the 1813 furnace site, David Parish's land office from around 1812. The town ran a real 19th-century economy off lead and iron ore until the deposits gave out in the 1860s; now it's foundation stones and historical markers along County Route 3. A half-hour detour, not a full afternoon.
