Smallmouth Bass Capital of the World

Dale Hollow's defining claim to fame: the world-record smallmouth bass, 11 pounds 15 ounces, caught by D.L. Hayes in 1955 on a pearl-colored crankbait — a record that still stands. Six of the ten biggest smallmouth bass ever recorded came from this lake.
